The best lemon grass chicken sandwich... I had to move to the mainland for 15 years because of 9/11 and my Airline job.. today I went to Ba Le and so so happy to see the place is still there, I don't know if the same folks run the place,  but, the lemon grass chicken is still the best...enjoy

Haven't eaten at any Bal-Le shops in over 5 years, but my coworkers wanted to eat here so why not give it another try. I ordered the Special sandwich which had paté, meats, and daikon/carrots. It's my favorite sandwich because it's kinda similar to the one my mom made when we I was younger. I also ordered some Thai tea which wasn't as sweet as I wanted it. The banana tapioca pudding which is my favorite when I'm at a Vietnamese shop or restaurant, didn't taste good at all here. The sandwich was pretty yummy, but overall, it's just too expensive for a sandwich in general. I'd rather buy a yummy plate lunch at Joe's Grill or Cristine's Diners for the same or lesser price.

The staff were friendly and somewhat fast. There are tables/seats to dine at. The parking lot and pretty large and shared with other establishments. Sorry, I didn't have a chance to take a pic of my meal.

Bottom-line, poor service and bland food.  Not worth what they charge you.

The Waitress came to our table and asked for our order.  After taking my Wife's order, the Waitress was getting ready to walk away before I managed to tell her my order.  I guess she assumed we were only going to eat one sandwich.

This place offers both Vietnamese and Thai cuisine.  I went the Thai route, since I'm Thai, and always looking for the next best Thai place.  This wasn't it.  More on that next.  But first, I did order a Thai iced tea which I never received.  In fact, during our whole visit, we never had anyone come by at all to check on us.  We did see another waitress top off water at other tables but not ours.  Kind of felt like outcasts at our little table.

I ordered the papaya salad and shrimp pad kee mao.  If you asked me would I order it again...my answer is no.  The papaya salad was very bland.  The pad noodles had the consistency of fettuccine.  In fact, they would have tasted better with creamy white Italian sauce.  I will say the shrimp was well cooked, and seasoned.  After the shrimp though, I'm left with a lot of bland noodles.

Overall, I can understand a busy day in cooking and the quality isn't good, but the service was not acceptable.  I'm sorry but this place is a no go for me.  I should have went next door to Joe's.

I feel like I'm always at this restaurant. I visit atleast once a month. They're gonna take all my money, haha! The food is so good here and the portions are perfect. I've had several dishes here and everything I've tried is good. I will say the Pho is a staple and you can never go wrong starting out trying the Pho. The broth is so good. I have no idea what magic they put in it, but it is delish!

I often come here for lunch and it's fairly busy. The restaurant is small with a casual atmosphere. I'm never disappointed eating here.

    Highly recommend this restaurant!

This is my favorite Ba-Le location so far. They have such a good selection of different foods which also includes  Thai food. I seriously love the spicy tofu plate with iced Thai coffee. Their Thai coffee is strong like liquid yummy crack haha. I have to warn that the garlic from the tofu will leave you smelling like garlic for two days but it's so WORTH it.
If you don't like garlic I would recommend their avocado sandwich which the other locations don't regularly have. Oh and their medium spicy pad Thai is also awesome but what's not to love about noodles
    Added spicy tofu!
